Kate Arms is a leadership and creativity coach and freelance writer. When she is not working, she is usually hanging out with her 4 children and their pets, acting or directing with local community theatres, or at the ice rink playing Ringette or managing a team.

Kate has been coaching people in one form or another for over three decades. Her coach training is from The Coaches Training Institute and the Creativity Coaching Association, and she is a certified InterPlay Leader and certified Writing Circle Facilitator.
She has helped clients with entrepreneurial development, motivation, time management, increased creativity, stress management, personal growth, business and personal relationships, family and parenting, and self-care.

Kate writes fiction with themes of mistakes, regret, and second chances. Whether it is contemporary romance, young adult fantasy, or horror, Kate’s work explores questions of how people react to an imperfect world.
Her fiction ranges from YA urban fantasy to adult literary fiction. She is an active member of the Writer’s Community of Durham Region (WCDR). Her writing has appeared online in The Creativity Post, The Artist’s Road, and An Intense Life. Kate’s short stories and poetry have appeared in Renaissance and The Word Weaver. She was runner up for Best Novel (Young Adult/Juvenile) in the 2014 Muskoka Novel Marathon.
